Well it is now mid-june, about two months before I head off to New York City, and I am starting my apartment search again. I finally verified my financial stuff with the school, and they are sending me my I-20 form so that I can prove I am a student in the USA, and I can therefore enter the country while I am a student. When I last spoke to the housing coordinator at NYFA he told me that I should wait until I verified all of my financial stuff, and also until it was mid-june, so now it begins.
I was quite impressed with the list of options that they sent me. Several apartment referrals, and loads of different businesses that are involved in finding people places to stay. They gave me a lot of short-term options to look at, as well as places that offer long-term options as well. I am quite impressed with the information that NYFA has provided me with so far with regards to securing accomodation. I will let you know how the hunt progresses, and when I find a place to stay. Maybe I can post some pictures of the place up for you all to see.
