I am finally in New York City, after months of anticipation. I arrived on September 11th, 2006, which is the 5 year anniversary of the World Trade Center terrorist attacks. I actually went down to Ground Zero with my dad to check it out, and there were thousands of people there paying their respects. I also went to check out my apartment for the first time. It is really well located, and a bit bigger than I was expecting. The area is a little sketchy, but not ghetto by any means, more bohemian than anything. I’ll post some pictures of my place later to give you an idea. For now I am going to go out and explore a little bit more (and grab a bite to eat), but I’ll keep you all posted.
