With my production company Vigor Media I help to manage the content for the Badminton Players Federation website. While this isn’t the most lucrative deal for us it does have it’s perks, including some serious globe trotting. We recently started putting up videos onto the website, which is a really cool new feature for a badminton website. As I write this I am currently in Copenhagen International Airport in Denmark, waiting for my flight home. Badminton is really big in Denmark, and I was here covering the Denmark Open for the Badminton Players Federation. It’s not like we’re producing Spielberg caliber productions, but certainly this is a really cool gig to have. Unfortunately one of the hazards we often run into is flight delays. My flight to Copenhagen is delayed, and as a result I will miss my connection in Chicago, so I’ll have to stay the night there. Luckily I am flying in style this time, hopefully we’ll have in-flight internet, which is supposedly a feature on a number of SAS flights. Previously we have been to Birmingham, England; Tokyo, Japan; and Madrid, Spain. We’re probably going to be back in Birmingham this Spring.
One Response to “Travelling To Denmark”
Something to say?

I recently quit my corporate video job because of all the travel, which was destroying my life/creativity/sense of sanity. That said, I wouldn’t trade the experiences I gained. I’m glad I had the chance to travel to cool places like Madrid (where I stumbled upon an amazing Picasso exhibit that cost only 6 euros), Los Angeles (where Tom Cruise and Jada Pinkett Smith stole my parking space), and Orlando (where, uh, it was warm). I think about the stories, the perspectives and experiences that I’m sure have helped grow my filmmaking and storytelling abilities. I’m guessing you’d say the same.
