Rarely do I actually read any real film news on Perez Hilton, and I guess I should hesitate to call this news really, but noteworthy at least. Apparently Larry Wachowski of the Wachowski Brothers directing team (The Matrix anybody?) has become a woman and now goes by the name Lana Wachowski. I’m sure this is one time that they are very happy for the fact that they have been media shy in the past, cause as interesting as this is nobody else seems to be picking up on it really.
This gets me thinking, what sort of impact would this sort of decision have on someone’s career? It’s not like he/she is an actor, but I’m sure that studios would have some concerns surrounding mental stability etc whether they are founded or not is the other question. Hollywood is the most liberal place on Earth. As long as you can bring in the money studio heads could care less if you’re sodomizing and then dismembering children. It’s only when the audience turns against someone that they really need to worry about their career.
