The New York Film Academy has apparently just bought 12 Panasonic HVX-200s for their students to shoot their student films on. This really excites me because I really want to shoot my stuff on HD, and this camera is basically the DVX-100 made for HD (I already own a DVX-100 for my wedding videography, and other work). I just hope that there are enough of them that I can use them for my projects. Worst comes to worse I might consider buying one and renting it out when I’m not using it to pay for it.
